Disclaimer
By downloading or using the GPX tracks and the information published on this website, the user declares that they have read, understood and fully accepted the following.
1. Informational nature of the content
The GPX tracks and route information published on this website are purely informational, indicative and recreational in nature. The MTB Valcamonica Association strives to provide reliable data but does not guarantee the absolute accuracy, precision or constant updating of the tracks. In particular, distance, elevation gain and difficulty rating are indicative estimates and may not match the actual conditions on the ground.
2. Trail conditions and variability
The trails and roads, although open to the public and not private at the time of mapping, are subject to changes beyond the Association's control. Route conditions may change suddenly due to:
- weather and climate factors (landslides, mud, ice, fallen trees);
- maintenance works or changes to local road access;
- decisions by the competent authorities or by the owners of adjoining land.
Rights of way may change over time: it is the user's responsibility to respect prohibitions, closures, signage, private or protected areas and any seasonal restrictions (for example hunting seasons).
3. Reliability of GPS and devices
The GPX track is an aid to orientation and does not replace maps, experience and sound judgement. Satellite signal accuracy, battery life and network coverage may fail: do not rely solely on the navigation device.
4. User autonomy and responsibility
Users who download and use the GPX tracks do so at their own risk. It is the cyclist's/hiker's sole responsibility to:
- assess their own physical and technical level of preparation before undertaking the route;
- check the weather and the actual condition of the trail at the time;
- carry suitable equipment and adequate safety systems;
- comply with the highway code, local signage and the surrounding environment.
Use by minors takes place under the supervision and responsibility of those exercising parental authority. In an emergency, the single European emergency number is 112; please note that along many sections mobile phone coverage may be unavailable.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the MTB Valcamonica Association, its representatives and its collaborators may not be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, injury, loss, penalty or accident to property or persons arising from the use of the GPX tracks or of the information published on the website.
